ACMCC new measurement site !

On board the Marion Dufresne and within the VACOA project, we are installing a Quad Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor (Q-ACSM) to characterize aerosol composition in the Indian and Southern Oceans. We will measure aerosols for a 6-week cruise!

Thanks to Hilkka Timonen and the Aerosol Dynamics Inc concentrator (ADIc), we will increase the sensitivity of the ACSM by a factor of 10! This is also part of a first evaluation by ACMCC – Aerosol Chemical Monitor Calibration Center in order to develop specifications and potential recommendations when using aerosol concentrator systems in remote and pristine environments.
